Since 1947, your neighbors have answered the call.
Mahwah Emergency Medical Services, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing no-cost ambulance service to the residents and visitors of Mahwah.

The ambulances in town are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for the residents, businesses, and visitors of Mahwah. Every member of the ambulance squads is a volunteer, and there is never a charge for our service.
We come to you now with an appeal — we ask for something more valuable than your money. We ask for your time. We're seeking dedicated residents, and people employed in Mahwah, to make a time commitment that supports the squad's vital services and provides real personal satisfaction as a member of our community.
Mahwah Emergency Medical Services, Inc. was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2013, continuing a tradition of volunteer emergency care in Mahwah that dates back to 1947.

Our Stations
Each squad covers roughly half the Township and is capable of responding anywhere in Mahwah, plus mutual aid calls to and from neighboring communities.
These photos are older than most of our members.
Long before digital cameras, Mahwah's volunteers were already showing up — on extrications, night calls, and everything in between. The uniforms and equipment have changed since these were taken; the reason we're still here hasn't.

Mahwah Day, mutual aid, and everything between.

Part of this community, not just its emergency service.
Fire Rehab & Support
MEMS works closely with the Mahwah Fire Department, providing medical support and rehabilitation at every working fire and rescue operation.
Mutual Aid
We supply backup coverage to surrounding communities and rely on long-standing, reciprocal mutual aid agreements to make sure Mahwah is always covered.
